Safety, occupational health and environmental policy
“Milli” Economic Society considers the protection of life, health, safety and the environment a fundamental value and an essential part of our business activities.
In accordance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, applicable environmental legislation and the requirements of Main State Service “Turkmenstandartlary”, we are committed to preventing workplace injuries, occupational ill health, pollution and incidents.
We commit to:
- Provide safe and healthy working conditions for all employees and other persons working under our control;
- Identify hazards and environmental aspects, assess risks and implement appropriate controls before and during work;
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, contractual and other HSE requirements;
- Provide employees and contractors with appropriate training, information, instruction, supervision and personal protective equipment;
- Ensure that work is performed only by competent and authorized personnel;
- Encourage employees to report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses and to take appropriate action to prevent harm;
- Maintain effective emergency preparedness and response arrangements;
- Investigate incidents and nonconformities, identify causes and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
- Protect the environment through pollution prevention, responsible use of resources, waste reduction and proper waste management;
- Consult with and encourage the participation of workers in occupational health and safety matters;
- Promote a positive HSE culture based on leadership, responsibility, teamwork and continual improvement;
- Require contractors, suppliers and visitors to comply with applicable HSE requirements.
The protection of human life and health takes priority over production targets, schedules and other operational considerations.
Management is committed to providing the resources, competent personnel, equipment and organizational support necessary to implement this Policy and achieve our HSE objectives.
This Policy is communicated to employees, contractors and relevant interested parties and is reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains suitable, effective and aligned with our activities and legal requirements.
